How to Put More Pizazz into Your Brochure
Your brochure should be like a great sales person, inviting and engaging. Great sales people are actually fun to talk to, and likewise, your brochure should be fun to read. Remember that people are most interested in conversations that focus on them, so your brochure should focus on the reader from start to finish. Below are five steps to creating an engaging brochure.
Step One: Ask a Question on the Cover
On the cover of your brochure printing piece, a question that makes people want to open the brochure to find out the answer. Make it a good one. If you sell health supplements, you could ask: "Want to know how to feel 10 years younger?" I mean, who would not want to know the answer to that? Then, on the inside of your brochure answer the question right away. Also, the answer to the question should tell how the reader can benefit from using your products.
Step Two: Use a Bright Color
To help your brochure stand out use a bright background color. If you sell gardening products, and you usually use a forest green background, try a lime green or bright yellow -- be adventurous. Go around and look at brochure stands. Notice what colors seem to be used the most and use something totally different. Whatever color you use in your brochure printing, make sure it fits your company image. You do not want to use hot pink for a law firm.
Step Three: Use Visuals to Showcase Your Products
People love pictures. Even people who do not like to take time to read can be reached by great photographs. To bring your products to life, use photographs of happy customers using your products or services when you do your brochure printing.
Step Four: Put in a Q and A Section
Somewhere in your brochure printing include a section of questions and answers. You can think up questions a consumer might have, or use questions your current customers ask a lot. Make sure the answers show your company and products in a positive light.
Step Five: End with a Response Card
You can make the last fold of your brochure a response card for people to fill out and mail in. Offer them a free gift in return to encourage participation. You could give out promotional items like pens, key chains, and stickers; or you could offer a free service like a consultation or estimate. On the response card, ask for a name and contact information so you can mail back a brochure or coupons. This is a great way to maintain contact with potential customers and will help make your brochure printing more effective at bringing in new customers.
