100 lb. is the thickest among the paper stock and the 16 pt. cardstock has the greatest weight among all of them. Those who need flexibility and easy storage can opt for the 100 lb., while the 16 pt. is likely to last the longest.
The standard 8.5” x 11” is a popular choice as the space is large enough for an image heavy design. The 4” x 6” is the standard for smaller sized flyers given their handy and easy to store size. Customers can refer to the flyer when they get home or bring it over to your store.
Color choice determines the effectiveness of your business flyer. A bright or bold color attracts a reader to pick up the flyer, while a dull one will go unnoticed. If you want to entice customers with a fun approach, stick to orange and yellow shades. Companies that require a more professional tone can opt for cool shades such as blue, gray, and green.

The best cardstock to use for a flyer depends on your desired look and feel. Our 100 lb. cardstock is perfect if you want flyers to feel substantial and premium, while our 10 pt. cardstock is a great option if you want thickness similar to a magazine cover. Meanwhile, our 14 pt. cardstock is our customers’ top choice as it strikes the perfect balance between durability and flexibility.
We offer glossy, matte, or uncoated finishes and you can add any of these to your flyer based on your preferred look and feel. Matte is ideal for readability, uncoated for writability and natural look, and gloss for rich, bold colors.
The colors in a printed flyer may not match the exact colors you see on your computer screen because monitors use the RGB color mode (light-based) while printers use CMYK color mode (ink-based). We strongly recommend that you convert any design files created in RGB to CMYK before sending them for printing.
Paper finish also influences our color perception — glossy cardstock makes colors appear richer and bolder by reflecting light, whereas matte or uncoated paper has a non-reflective surface that makes colors appear softer and more subdued.
For color-critical art and branded materials, you may want to request for an online proof that you can review before production, or better yet, a hard copy proof that may involve an additional fee. We will make every effort to match colors when you ask for a hard copy.
Simply select your preferred folding option (e.g., bifold, trifold, or Z-fold) when placing your order. Take note that flyers printed on thinner stocks (e.g., 10 pt. cardstock) are scored and folded before shipping, while those printed on thicker stocks (e.g., 14 pt. and above) are scored but shipped flat. Scoring creates a crease line to ensure a clean fold for your custom flyers.
Ensure there are no text, images, logos, or other key design elements directly on fold lines to create a visually appealing layout.
