Arts and Entertainment Business Cards
Your business card speaks volumes about who you are and what you do. If you’re in the arts or entertainment industry, your business cards are all the more important since your talents are directly connected to you making a living! You may only get one opportunity to make a lasting impression, and your arts and entertainment business cards may be what gets your foot in the door. So consider these few tips before you print your cards:
Full Color
Use a full color design to get attention. Use graphics and images that connect with your abilities. Are you a guitarist? Put guitar graphics on your card to help the recipient remember what it is you do. Avoid black and white (unless you are a pianist!) since color graphics grab attention so much more.
Use the Back
Keep the front of your card streamlined and use the back to list your accomplishments. Don’t be embarrassed to make a shameless plug. Your customers and fans have options, but you want to give them all the reasons to choose you. The front of your card should be limited to basic information, but the back can drive into details.
Focus your Message
Even if you can play every instrument, dance every dance, and sing all the right tunes, your customers can only remember a few keys points. Instead of listing everything you can do, focus your message on your greatest strengths. You may need multiple arts and entertainment business cards - one for each of your strengths. You do not want to send mixed signals as this will confuse your customers and wash out your message.
QR Codes
A modern trend is to use QR codes on cards so customers can use their smart phones to scan your code and go right to your website. This saves them time and shows you are a sophisticated marketer. QR codes can be as small as one inch by one inch and still work just fine.
