Photography Business Cards

Photography business cards are a critical piece of the marketing puzzle if you want your business to grow. Whether you shoot weddings, sports, portraits, or creative works; business cards give customers a way to find you if they can’t find you via the Internet or other sources.

Photography business cards are unique in that your industry is entirely visual, so your cards have to work extra hard for you. Here are some tips to make sure you get the most when you decide to send your cards to press.

Full color
A black and white business card for a photographer is unthinkable. Prices for full color are comparable to black and white, so it’s worth the price for photography business cards, especially. You can keep the design simple—no need to have a full size landscape design—but a color logo with other elements goes a long way.

Enough, but not too much
A common mistake when designing photography business cards is to put too much information on the front of the card. While you want to make sure the customer knows your specialty, you can do this with a tagline or short statement. Reserve details for the back of the business card or on your website. Too much information clutters your card and waters down your message.

Show off your talents
Consider showing off your photography talents on your business cards by including a favorite photo on the back of your card. You could also consider using a photo as the entire background and strategically place your text over the less busy sections of the photo. Do keep in mind the previous tip, however, and make sure the photo does not make your photography business cards look too busy.
