• Keep your message concise and clear. The fewer words you use to make your point, the better.
• Find a targeted mailing list so that your message is ending up in the right hands. You can use your in-house mailing list, but if you want to branch out, then consider renting a mailing list from a broker.
• Talk to your printer about mailing services. Some printing companies will apply addresses and postage to your postcards and mail them out for you, saving you much valuable time.
• Use a quality card stock so that your 5x7 postcards are sending the right message. A glossy finish will make your graphics look their best.
• Choose fonts that are easy to read at a glance. Sometimes a glance is all the time you have to make an impression. Larger fonts are better.
• Choose your content wisely. Whatever you can say in the shortest amount of time with the biggest impact will work best for 5x7 postcards.
• Make good use of the back side. Usually a mail person will place postcards in a mailbox address side up. Spend a good deal of your creative time on the back side of the postcard.

Requirements:

• Size: if you trim to a custom size, ensure that width divided by height falls between 1" and 2.5"
• Design: must include a 4" wide x 2" tall unprinted area at the bottom right corner of the back side (mailing side)
• Orientation: must be horizontal (width is the larger dimension)
• Coating: cannot include High Gloss or Dull UV coating on back (mailing side)
