Cardstock Options 

Our bookmarks are printed on premium cardstock options (10 pt., 14 pt., and 16 pt.). The higher the number, the thicker the stock.  

 

Finishes 

The ideal finish or coating for your bookmark depends on the design, brand aesthetic, and specific requirements.  

Matte creates a smooth, non-reflective surface that promotes excellent readability without glare.  

High gloss has a mirror-like, ultra-shiny surface that makes colors appear richer and bolder.  

Gloss also creates a reflective, shiny finish, but it is less intense compared to high gloss.  

 

Additional Features 

You can add rounded corners, custom trims, and holes. Although we offer hole drilling, our bookmarks don’t come with ribbons or strings.

What is the most popular bookmark size?

The most common standard bookmark size is 2" x 6", which fits most books and notebooks. Other popular sizes include 2" x 7" (ideal for vertically oriented designs) and 2.5" x 8.5" (suitable for premium brands). 

Do bookmarks feel “substantial?”

Yes. We use durable cardstock for bookmark printing. Choose from these three options: 

10 pt. cardstock is the most flexible, lightweight option that is suitable for large-volume printing. Its thickness is similar to that of a premium magazine paper.  

14 pt. cardstock is the most popular cardstock option; it is thick enough to accommodate double-sided printing. 

16 pt. cardstock offers a very substantial feel that makes it suitable for premium brands.

Can I ask for a free digital proof before production?

Absolutely! You can request this free service by clicking “I need a PDF Proof” under the “Proofing Options” on the “Upload Your Design” page. You need to review and approve it before we proceed with production.
