3 Tips to Ensure Your Campaign Reaches Voters in Time
Have you ever been in the middle of your campaign only to find a new voter concern has been raised and demands an immediate response from you? Your team gets swamped immediately with tasks and new outreach initiatives: attending town hall meetings, giving television interviews, creating emails, updating the website, publishing a social media response, ordering print materials and much more.
If your team currently prints in-house, consider an outside printer, so you never have to worry about last minute mail again. One of our favorite tips to help guarantee your campaign materials have a fast delivery time is with same day turnaround options. The second is with free Tag 57 identification. These bright red tags are placed on your finished print jobs and displayed at delivery to USPS. The tags indicate to USPS that the mail is for a political campaign, and should be treated as First-Class Mail even if it is going standard, which speeds up delivery time quite a bit. The red tags are removed by USPS employees when the mail is put into processing and handling. Tag 57 is limited for use in political campaign mailings ordered only by registered candidate committees, party committees, political action committees, super PACs, non-profits, corporations, business leagues and social welfare organizations.
Our third most popular way to reach voters is through variable data printing. The personal direct mail that results grabs the attention of recipients and encourages a response. You must put your best foot forward with voters and donors for a professional and trustworthy first impression. Your goal is to create an emotional response, an impulse to take action. Variable data printing allows for that channel to open and for you to add a touch of personalization to direct mail pieces. For example, you can create letters, envelopes, postcards, and more with a variable first name, last name, or company name, to make your pieces targeted specifically toward a single voter, a community group, or any targeted demographic.
